We’re looking forward to helping you organize your financial life and create a plan that helps you hit your goals.

Follow the steps below to make the onboarding process as smooth as possible. This doesn’t need to be completed in one sitting, but the sooner it’s done the quicker we can get to work.

Step 1: New Client Information

Step 4: Financial Planning Profile

We use Elements to provide a clear picture of your financial life so we can give you the best advice possible. Elements may sound familiar to you as you may have already completed the initial onboarding process when we first met. If this is the case, be sure that you have the app on your phone. Apple App. Google App.

If Elements does not sound familiar to you, or if you have yet to complete the onboarding process, please click here to begin with Elements. Don’t forget to download the app on your phone after you have completed this step.

Once you are done onboarding, use the mobile app to connect your accounts and make sure your info is up-to-date.

This will include bank accounts, brokerage accounts, 401(k)s, etc. We prefer that accounts are connected (linked via Plaid) rather than manually entered. You can convert manually-added accounts to connected accounts by clicking on the three dots in the top-right corner of an account and selecting ‘Connect Account.’

If there are any manually added any accounts, be sure it is up-to-date.

Step 5: Prepare for Discovery Meeting

We don’t simply check a box regarding the financial planning process. We strive to truly understand you and your goals and give you advice that creates a meaningful, positive change within your life.

This meeting and the documents you can share help get that process underway.

Please gather the following documents (as applicable) and send them to us using this secure link at least 48 hours before our meeting:

  • We created an expense worksheet on Google Sheets to help you identify your spending habits. Click on ‘Create a Copy’ and fill this out to the best of your ability. When you are done, click ‘Share’ in the upper righthand corner and either type in our email address or send us the link. We will go over this together during the Discovery Meeting to ensure that the figures entered accurately reflect your monthly expenses.
    • If you prefer to use Excel instead of Google Sheets, you can download a copy of our Excel expense worksheet here. Be sure to send us a completed copy when done.
  • Recent paystubs or self-employment income projections
  • Recent bank statements
  • Recent brokerage statements we don’t manage (e.g., Brokerage/Individual, IRA, Roth, Trust account)
  • Stock plan information (ESPP, stock options, RSUs, etc.). Be sure to include grant and vesting schedules
  • Current 401(k)/403(b)/other workplace retirement plan information (balances, investments, and fund options)
  • Home mortgage statement/information
  • Investment property details (rate, expenses, mortgage info, cash flow)
  • Social Security statement (download here)
  • Most recent federal and state tax filings
  • Benefit information (life insurance, health coverage, etc.)
  • Estate Planning documents (trust, will, health care directives, etc.)
  • Other relevant details (e.g., vacation budget, inheritance info, credit card debt)

Once you have gathered all of the relevant information, please send it to us via this link.
