Bull Oak Capital, LLC (“Bull Oak,” “Bull Oak Financial Advisors,” “we,” or “us”) is an investment adviser registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (CRD# 170325, SEC File No. 801-124736). Bull Oak Capital, LLC also does business as Bull Oak and Bull Oak Financial Advisors. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. Bull Oak is a fee-only fiduciary. Bull Oak provides advisory services only in states where it is registered, has made a notice filing, or qualifies for an exemption. This website is not an offer of advisory services to residents of any other state.
Before you work with us, please read our regulatory documents:
- Form CRS (Client Relationship Summary)
- Form ADV Part 1 and Part 2A (Firm Brochure) on the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site. Our Client Privacy Notice appears in Section 5 below.
You can research Bull Oak and our advisors, including any disciplinary history, at adviserinfo.sec.gov and investor.gov/CRS.
Nothing on this website is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. We give personalized advice only after we have reviewed your situation and signed a written advisory agreement with you.
Introductory meetings and calls are free. Their purpose is to learn about your situation and decide together whether an advisory relationship with Bull Oak makes sense.
2. Testimonials, Endorsements, and Ratings
Some of our advertising, including this website, may show reviews, ratings, or awards. Here is what you should know about them.
Client reviews. Reviews posted on third-party sites, such as Google and Yelp, are written by current or former clients unless we say otherwise at the point where the review appears. Bull Oak does not pay for reviews, and we do not pay any person or service to recommend us or refer clients to us. Reviewers may have a conflict of interest because they have a relationship with us. A review reflects one person’s experience and is not a guarantee of future performance or success.
Third-party ratings and awards. When we show a rating or award, we also show the date it was given, the period it covers, and who gave it, or we link to that information. Bull Oak does not pay to be considered for or receive any rating or award. That includes nomination fees, logo or marketing rights, plaques, and paid listings. Ratings and awards are not indicative of future performance and are not an endorsement by any client.
Performance. Past performance does not guarantee future results. All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal.
3. Website and Journal Content
The articles, guides, calculators, and other content on this website, including the Bull Oak Journal and downloadable resources, are for general education. They are not personalized investment, tax, or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a professional who knows your situation.
Content reflects our views as of the date it was published. Markets, tax law, and our opinions change, so older content may no longer be current. We try to keep information accurate, but we cannot guarantee that everything on the site is complete or up to date.
Any example, projection, or hypothetical scenario is for illustration only. It does not represent actual client results and does not guarantee any outcome.
Bull Oak is not a law firm or a certified public accounting firm. Nothing on this website is legal or accounting advice. We coordinate with our clients’ attorneys and CPAs, and you should consult your own before acting on any tax or legal matter.
Links to outside websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and do not endorse their content, products, or services. Please review their privacy policies and terms before you use them.
4. Website Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
This policy covers information collected through bulloak.com. If you are a Bull Oak client, our Client Privacy Notice in Section 5 explains how we handle your nonpublic personal information, and it controls if the two conflict.
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, book a meeting, request a download such as the R.E.A.D.Y. Method guide, or email us, we collect what you provide. That usually includes your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us about your situation.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time on site, and the page that referred you. We use cookies and similar tools to do this, including web analytics services such as Google Analytics and embedded video players such as Vimeo. We do not use advertising pixels, and we do not share visitor information with third parties for targeted advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How we use it. We use this information to respond to your requests, schedule meetings, send the resources and emails you sign up for, understand how people use the site, improve our content, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping rules that apply to investment advisers.
Who we share it with. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as our website host, email marketing platform, scheduling and video meeting tools, and analytics providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, or a regulator’s request.
Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link at the bottom of each email.
Cookies and Do Not Track. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them. Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or transmission method is completely secure. Please do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through website forms or regular email.
Children. This website is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
California residents. California law lets you ask whether we have shared your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not share it for that purpose. To ask about your information or request that we delete it, email hello@bulloak.com. We may need to keep some records to meet our regulatory obligations.
Changes. We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
5. Client Privacy, Client Portal, and Mobile App
Client Privacy Notice
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Federal law requires investment advisers to tell clients how they collect, share, and protect personal information. This notice applies to current and former Bull Oak clients. It is the same notice included with our Form ADV Part 2A.
What we collect. We collect nonpublic personal information that you give us or authorize us to obtain. This may include your Social Security number, date of birth, income, assets, account numbers and balances, transaction history, bank information, and details about your family, estate, and tax situation. We receive it from you, from forms you complete with us, from your custodian, and from professionals you authorize us to work with, such as your CPA or attorney.
How we use it. We use your information to manage your accounts and financial plan, process transactions, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and protect your accounts from fraud and unauthorized access.
Who we share it with. We share your information only as needed to serve you and as the law allows:
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as our custodian (Charles Schwab), our client portal and CRM provider (Advyzon), and technology, compliance, and record-keeping vendors. They are required by contract to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services to us.
- Professionals you authorize, such as your CPA, attorney, or insurance agent.
- Regulators, courts, and law enforcement when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Bull Oak has no affiliates, so we do not share information with affiliates. Because we share information only in these ways, federal law does not require us to offer you an opt-out.
How we protect it. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. These include encryption, multi-factor authentication, access limited to people who need it to serve you, secure storage, and oversight of our service providers.
If a breach occurs. If your sensitive information is accessed or used without authorization and harm is reasonably possible, we will notify you as soon as practicable, and no later than 30 days after we learn of it, as Regulation S-P requires. The notice will explain what happened and what you can do to protect yourself.
How long we keep it. We keep client records for as long as our contracts and securities regulations require. After that, we securely destroy them.
State privacy laws. Some states, including California and Vermont, give residents additional privacy protections. We do not share your information with nonaffiliated third parties except as those laws permit, so no action is needed on your part.
Changes and questions. If we change this notice, we will post the updated version here and send it to you when the law requires. To ask a question about your information, contact us at hello@bulloak.com or (858) 999-3550.
Where client accounts live. Client assets are held by an independent qualified custodian, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Bull Oak may also advise on accounts held at other institutions, such as employer retirement plans, and those accounts are subject to that institution’s own terms and privacy policies. Bull Oak does not hold client funds or securities. Clients access account information through Schwab and through our client portal, which runs on Advyzon. Your use of those platforms is also governed by Schwab’s and Advyzon’s own terms and privacy policies.
Mobile App Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
The Bull Oak mobile app (the “App”) is available only to existing Bull Oak clients. It lets you view account balances, holdings, performance, statements, and documents.
What the App collects. You sign in with the credentials for your Bull Oak client portal. The App does not create accounts. To keep the App secure and working, we collect limited technical data, such as device type, operating system, app version, and sign-in activity. Account information shown in the App comes from our custodian and portfolio reporting systems. The App does not ask for or collect any other personal information.
How we use it. We use this data to give you secure access to your accounts and documents, keep the App working, prevent unauthorized access, and meet our regulatory obligations.
Sharing. We do not sell or rent your information. We share data only with the service providers that power the App and your account reporting, including Advyzon and our custodian, and when required by law or regulation.
Security. The App uses encryption, authentication, and restricted access to protect your information. No system is completely secure. Contact us right away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
Your choices. You can delete the App at any time. Your accounts stay available through the web portal. To ask us to delete technical data tied to your App use, email hello@bulloak.com. We may need to keep some records to meet regulatory requirements.
Children. The App is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes. We will post any update here and change the “Last updated” date above.
